Gearing Up For Turkey Day!

Today we're hanging inside (it's cold today!) getting things ready for Thanksgiving! We're having a lot of company and we're really excited. We're going to go through all our toys and get a box together for baby Mallory, for Goodwill, and put the rest away where they belong. Then, we're getting the guest room all set up for Grammy!

I'm proud of you for wanting to cut up chicken! I just did my 2nd batch today - I did 10 of them this time (for $10) and my freezer is exploding with broth and chicken. I love it though. Feels very resourceful and it really isn't that bad. (p.s. I get the split chicken breasts when they're on sale for $.99/lb. - they're normally $2.49/lb. at our stores down here) I've heard you can also make broth with leg quarters (sometimes $.49/lb!) but I've never done it. Maybe I'll try that next.

So glad you're starting a blog! It is a lot of work but I feel like it helps my family stay somewhat involved even though far away. I can't wait to see pictures of your cute kids (all boys, right?). Post away!
